Well, it's Monday. Again. It's still quite un-Spring like out there. At least it didn't snow.

I think I know what's been bothering me lately. Hopefully, it will pass soon and I can get the hell on with it already!

I'm not perfect. I never claimed to be. I have issues and concerns and other things going on in my life like everyone else. Sometimes, I just need to get it out in the open and talk about it. I don't think that MVL is the appropriate forum to do that, however. I think this is a little more than crabbing about school and homework and my kids and my car.

I feel bad about something that I can't even put my finger on, and that bugs me!

All set...

Just ironed out one of the last things I needed before school starts on Monday: a student ID card.

Books... well those will have to wait a bit until I get my financial aid. Hopefully, I will have it by the time my tuition comes due next month. I realize I may need those books sooner than that! One of them is over $100!

Lord, what have I gotten myself into this time? Is it possible that the cost of books for three of my four classes (that fourth one is a three hour lab type class that meets twice a week and doesn't require books) may exceed my tution? I think they're more than my car insurance payment for 6 months, and that wasn't cheap!

And I do know that I can walk to school, because I'm here now, and the walk back is something I'm not looking forward to. One can only slip and slide on the ice, get splashed by cars whizzing by in the melting slush, and enduring the looks of "is that gal nuts to walk in this?" only so much.

Of course, it's going to snow like a house a fire this weekend, if the weather dudes on TV are any indication. Lovely, just in time for someone to come out and hook up a phone at the house for me. This'll be interesting, to say the least!

Happy New Year!

I spent the last three days in Edmond helping out Mom because she's not feeling well.

My sister kinda bullied Mom into calling a doctor in regards to her always not feeling well. Mom has COPD, and it's obvious that Mom isn't feeling well, but she keeps putting off going to the doctor. Tori said she was going to go with Mom to her apppointment (it's next week), but Mom doesn't really want her to.

I think Tori should go with her. I wouldn't know what questions to ask the doctor. And I can't keep running up to Edmond every time I turn around. In less than three weeks, I go back to school.

Sometimes, I get the feeling that Mom wishes I hadn't moved out.

New Year's was okay. Nothing earth shattering or anything. Same old jazz we do every year.

And no, I didn't make any resolutions. I have things I want to accomplish in the next year, but I wouldn't call them "resolutions" per se.

If I called them "resolutions", I know that I'd never get them accomplished.

Whoopty freakin' doo!

I changed my name on my driver's license recently to my maiden name, since it's been my legal name for well over a year now.

This is my Oklahoma license. I already had it on my Wyoming license, which I put thru the shredder earlier this week. Perhaps I should send the shredded pieces back to the driver's license bureau in Cheyenne with a note stating that I've changed my address, and probably will never live in Wyoming again.

Jon text messages me earlier this evening and says something to the effect of that i've never had a license under my maiden name, since I originally didn't get a license until I was 24 years old when I was still living in California. I was already married by that time.

Why does he think that this is a big deal for me? Because it's not, IMHO, a big deal to me. Just something else I have to change.

With my luck, by the time I get everything changed, I'll probably get married again.

Naaaah... I've been married, thanks. And even if I did remarry, I'd hypenate my name with his.

But I don't anticipate that happening.

I would like to be in a mutually satisfying relationship if that is in my future at some point. The companionship would be nice...

It's official: my week sucks

it seems that nothing has gone right this week.

I have to find out what happened to a money order that I mailed out the day I got my last paycheck from the radio station, and didn't reach its destination.

I have to write to the company that issued the money order and send them the original receipt. Problem is, it's packed in one of the two boxes I brought with me from Wyoming. And that's a problem because they are now in storage until I get a place of my own.

Still nothing from the Unemployment folks, although they tell me that they did, indeed, send out the stuff they told me they would. I can't call them again until Monday because the phone system is down for "routine maintainence" today and tomorrow.

Of course, by Sunday, I'll be able to call in my claim for this week.

Oh. Joy.

I was able to apply for financial aid so I can go to school in January. Waiting for transcripts from California is a pain in the ass, because as I've said before, I don't do waiting well these days.

I'm anxious to get things going. Can you blame me?

Geez, I still need to talk to Ben about getting a new radio gig! Guess that has to wait until next week.

I wonder who won the Edmond North/Del City game tonight...

I have a headache. Better hunt up some Aleve. 'night! :)

Waiting game....

and I don't really do that very well these days.

I bust my ass to get things done, then I have to wait for replies, mail, answers, and the whole nine yards.

My problem is, I don't wanna wait!

I want to get Unemployment, a job, an apartment, my security deposit from Wyoming back, my car tagged and titled here RIGHT NOW! Immediately if not sooner.

I used to be so patient *sigh*...
