I was just thinking...
If Daniel marries Kathy, will she be the "Un-Daughter-in-Law"; if they have a child, will it be the "Un-Grandchild"?
And maybe there's nothing to this relationship but their being friends. But I honestly think there's more to it than that.
He spends a hell of a lot of time at her house, or somewhere, with her.
