I love giving stuff away!
I've been so busy with the radio show that I haven't had much time for blogging. So it's time to play catch up.
Thursday and Friday, I gave away tickets to a concert in Billings, Montana later this month. Larry always said to tease and promote everything, so I teased and promoted this ticket giveaway to the hilt!
Since the country station's tower went down in April, the station's been on like half power with a temporary tower up in the mountains in a place called Lost Cabin. The main tower is scheduled to be fixed and operational at the end of July (hopefully). My boss, Jim, told me that because of that, to not be surprised if no one called in for the tickets when I gave the word on the air. Instead, I gave away 2 pairs of tickets Thrusday and 2 more pairs on Friday. I still have a couple of pairs to give away Monday!
People are calling in more requests now, too. There are actually people out there in Fremont County listening to me! And now that I am teasing and promoting the soon to be revamped country station website, I expect that will follow the same pattern. At least, I hope so!
In other news:
*I have a new fridge. They came and replaced it yesterday after I came home from work. Now the stuff in the fridge part is cold, and the stuff in the freezer is frozen! Yay!!!
*Daniel and the "Un-Girlfriend", Kathy, left for California yesterday. They'll be gone 10 days... I learned some stuff about the trip from Jeff, but I don't want to make it public. I know Daniel was planning to visit his paternal grandmother, and a few friends he has from when he and Jeff lived there with my folks, but beyond that, I have no clue. I just hope a stop in Reno or Vegas isn't in the itinerary (and NOT for gambling, mind you!)
*Jon called me this morning to ask if I'd be the benficiary on his life insurance policy. I said I would. Jon wanted to make sure whoever he chose would have him buried in California when he goes to his great reward. I think I can do that. Hopefully, that will not happen for a very long time.
---
My stats at sitemeter.com are pathetic. Since I moved, they have plunged significantly. I still have some die hard readers out there. Thank you for sticking with me thru all this.
(I think I know how you did it! *wink wink* Thanks for peeking. Peek more often and comment if the spirit moves ya.)
That's all from where I sit.
