Not unexpected: Powell resigns as Secretary of State
From FoxNews.com:
Colin Powell announced to his staff this morning that he is resigning his post as Secretary of State. Powell has not been happy at State for the past two years, so this move wasn't unexpected. Among the people being considered for replacing Powell are Assistant Secretary of State Richard Armitage, and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.
So far, several members of Bush's first cabinet have been resigning in droves. Powell is definitely a biggie after Ashcroft bailed earlier this month.
Why doesn't this, the resignation of several key cabinet members, surprise me? Because Bush is a doofus who doesn't listen to the advice his advisors give him. Bush made Powell look stupid when he went to the UN before the war began with "proof" that Saddam had WMD's, proof that was based on flawed intelligence.
