Local updates

The two local stories I've been blogging about the last couple of days have some updates:

1. Racial Death Threats at Edmond North High School: KOCO in Oklahoma City is reporting that there is an increased police presence on the campus today. Today was the day mentioned in the messages targeting African American students at the school as the day they would be killed. Several students were interviewed about the situation, that they've noticed the presence of police, as well as some temporary policy changes. This story is ongoing, so there may be updates to this later.

2. Home Invasion Hoax Sent to the D.A.: The Edmond Sun reports that the case of the Edmond North teacher who staged a home invasion to win the affections of his estranged wife has been sent to the office of Oklahoma County D.A. Wes Lane. No charges have been filed. Additionally, The Sun names the teacher in question, and it is who I thought it was. No further updates to this item are planned (at least by me) unless something significant happens.

*Sigh*--welcome to my world. Not a good week for the Huskies, I'd say.
