Fall Classic Fandango...and the death of "Superman"

The Houston Astros pounded the Atlanta Braves 12 - 3 in game five of the National League Division Series this evening, therefore are headed to the Championship Series with the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees will play in the first game of the American League Championship Series tomorrow night at Yankees Stadium (8e/7c on FOX).

My predictions (which will probably be wrong, but what the hell):

AL winner: Boston
NL winner: St. Louis

Why those teams? Why not!

As you may have been hearing all day Monday, actor Christopher Reeve died on Sunday of a heart attack. He was only 52 years old. The "Superman" star was paralyzed in May 1995 after a fall from a horse, and was championing research into curing spinal cord injuries. He was a model of grace, positive he would one day walk again, and a source of encouragement for people with spinal cord injuries and their families. He will be greatly missed.
