Man...those BoSox are gonna be the death of me yet!
Another exciting win for the Boston Red Sox! 4-2 over the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, no less! The Red Sox are the first team in postseason play ever to force a 7th game after winning three in a row in a three games to none deficit! Game 7 tonight at Yankee Staduim...and this is for the trip to the World Series, folks! SOX ROX!!!!
Man, I was on the edge of my seat the entire game! When it got down to the ninth, with two outs and two Yankess on base, it was crunch time! Finally, there was that last out! On to Game 7!
There was a bit of controversy there for a bit. The Sox got a grand slam, but to one of the umps, it didn't look like the ball had left the field of play, but after reviewing it with the other umpires, it was decided that the ball did go out in to the seat, but bounced off a fan and back onto the field.
The other controversy was when Alex Rodriguez was running to first, and the Sox pitcher, Arroyo went to tag him out before "A-Rod" got to first. Rodriguez knocked the ball out of Arroyo's glove on purpose, and was called safe by the ump at first. Rodriguez never even touched the base! Meanwhile, Jeter, who was on first when Rodriguez hit the ball, ran all the way home, making the score 4-3. The umps ruled that Rodriguez should be out for interfering with the play, which forced Jeter back to first base, and the run he brought in was taken off the board (that was sweeeeet! LOL). The Sox eventually retired the side, and the score remained 4-2.
