I've got this new idea running in my head...
My next NaNoWriMo novel...
Check it: It's 1934, it's the middle of the Depression, and the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma. A 16 year old boy named Ed just lost his parents; his mother to influenza, his father to a work accident. Ed's fondest memories of his mother were the stories she told of her Cajun relatives in Louisiana. After his parents' funerals, held just weeks apart, Ed and his dog, a Husky named Mr. Hoover(which he later changes to Harry when he finds out why the dog was called "Mr. Hoover") travel in his father's old pickup to search for his Cajun relations. Therein lies the bulk of the story, which I still have to research to make it sound not only factual, but credible.
This is all Saon's fault. *wink*
Still nothing from him but that one convo on Jan. 4th...I'm not calling him at work again.
